50 Cent Calls Jay Z and Dr. Dre to Dream school
The hip hop star, 50 cent has called on fellow musicians, Jay Z and Dr. Dre to come to his Dream School show. The series is actually a reality show that aims to assist students who did not graduate from high school to get back to school. The series airs on Sundace TV and this is its second season running.
50 Cent said that kids would be so inspired if the two hip hop legends addressed them on the importance of pursuing education. He actually wants them to feature in season 3 of his show. The star pointed out that education is still useful even with all the money that comes from doing great music.
Apparently, Dr. Dre is at the top of Forbes ranking because he is the highest paid musician. The guy usually pockets $620 million before the taxman comes calling. Jay Z and Diddy are second at $60 million. 50 Cent is ranked fourth with $8 million.
According to TheGrio, 50 Cent was in the company of Jamie Oliver, Chuck D, Johnny Weir, Gloria Allred and Cliff Dorfman. 50 Cent stated that the rate of school drop out was so high at 3,000,030 and it’s high time the US education system was customized to meet the various needs of learners.
The artist further stated that bullying in schools and on the internet has become a big challenge and narrated how he went through the experience which caused him to disable his social media account. The star stated that he just had to create a way of shielding himself from social bullying.
50 Cent further added that fans feel they own musicians and that is why they feel justified to hurl all kind of insults at them on social media. He however argued that the story would be different if the bullies showed up in person.
