- Stephen Colbert Gets Rid of his Beard for the Camera
- Colbert Shaves Beard in First Late Show Promo
Stephen Colbert of The Late Show got rid of his beard for the camera. He apparently experimented with a number of variations before finally shaving off the last remnants of the hair on his face.
Stephen Colbert was there way before his show went on air to promote his new beard shaving scenario. In fact, he appeared 90 days before the ordeal to be exact. His beard was up for grabs and as he let the blade do its work the fans cheered on.
According to Colbert, he had used the beard as a means of hiding his real identity ever since he left the Colbert Report. But that was in the last month of the previous year.
He humorously referred to Tom Selleck’s mustache as being on a par with his lush and dense beard. While Colbert did shave his beard in first promo of CBS Late Show, he did it in parts and installments so that various shades of gray appeared in between the final clean-shaven look. These included the Un-Hitler, the Amish and the Half-Wolverine. But the last look was the Classic Clean Colbert and it suited him to a T.
The parting shot showed him with his beard as a reminder of how the good old days used to be like. It seems that Stephen Colbert is still Stephen Colbert without his beard. The beard had become rather black and white in its nature. This was a source of irritation to Stephen.

The Un-Hitler was the exact opposite of the nugget of hair on Adolph Hitler’s upper lip. As for the Amish, it is a ditto copy of the traditional people who follow age-old ways of living.
And last but not least the Half-Wolverine was simply mind-blowing in its image which appeared before the world. The only gaffe was that Colbert dined on a hot dog while shaving his beard! Now that flaw is simply unforgivable!
