- “I…do not. Belong. To anyone. But myself.
Ariana Grande after getting tired of all the rumors with the cute Irish sensation of One Direction Niall Horan posted a TwitLonger on June 7th 2015.
The love life of the young starlet has suffered many ups and downs since after breaking up with the young YouTuber Jai Brookes she dated singer Nathan Skyes for a short period of time in 2013. Unfortunately, it did not work out as planned and then the pop princess apparently went out with the rap superstar Big Sean, which also ended in failure.
After all the rough time that she went through the news of her being involved with the super cute and sexy Niall Horan entered the social pages . The rumors caught more heat when the two celebs were seen hanging out recently.
The young lady was also seen leaving Niall’s place at 3:00 AM one day. In response to all the drama, she has posted a long message on twitter for the media and for all the figures bothering her about the rumored affair. Both the artists have massive fame and fandom. While falsifying the rumors she said that she is fed up of being affiliated with boys and has a life of her own.
Ariana in her recent message admitted that she never had more fun before being single. She released a powerful and inspirational message which lauded female rights and girl power. She shared her feelings about being judged and said that she does not want anyone referring to her in connection with any man.
“What I meant when I said what I said about not being [Big] Sean’s ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future PROPERTY/POSSESSION,” she wrote in her tweet. “I…do not. Belong. To anyone. But myself. And neither do you.”
Grande also said that she chose not to answer about her love life or boys because there is so much more to talk about, hinting at her career as an alternative option. She also made a reference to Gloria Steinem’s article on female empowerment and wrote about double standards and girls been targeted for every act while men on the other hand are never teased regarding anything.
“If a woman has a lot of sex (or any sex for that matter)…she’s a ‘slut.’ If a man has sex…HE’S. A. STUD. A BOSSSSS. A King,” she wrote. “If a woman even TALKS about sex openly…she is shamed! But if a man talks or RAPS freely about all the women he’s had…he is regaled.”
She also urged the readers not to have a need for anything external in order to be defined. She says that she has never enjoyed “living” the life more and currently being single, she is more satisfied and happy than she had ever been before in her life.
Finally, she further fortified her message by quoting the viewpoint of the famous female activist and shared the fact that a woman who wants to enjoy life as a single woman should be ready to be judged by people as well as treated as a dirty joke.
