Davis and her partner tore it up on the dance floor
If you watched the winter Olympic games this year, you might recognize the name Meryl Davis. She was one of the gold medal ice dancing skaters for the US. If you watch the reality show Dancing with the Stars, you might recognize her name as one of the best dancers on the series.
She should be one of the best dancers as well considering she is an Olympic caliber ice dancer. Last week Davis and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy scored nines across the board and left disappointed. This week they pulled out the full 40 points with their dance reports People.
The duo did a tango to the Calvin Harris song “Feel so Close.” Head judge Len Goodman told Davis she was the only contestants who has talent to rival Chmerkovskiy. Goodman said, “That was full of attack, that was full of purpose. You’re the first celebrity that has been able to match him and keep up with him.”
As you know, someone goes home on DWTS regularly and this week that was Drew Carey and his partner. Carey had landed in the bottom of the group last week and danced this week to “Super Freak” by Rick James.
“I just want to say thanks for letting me borrow your dance floor, Carey said.”Thanks for all the kindness and the love.”
Carey’s partner is Cheryl Burke and the audience scores they were counting on didn’t materialize to keep them on the show.
