With XLTE, you will get double the bandwidth and much faster speeds
It has been months since Verizon has been working on improving its LTE data pipelines which it aims to widen even further and all the efforts are finally going to be put out in the open because the mobile network is ready to take full advantage of that extra headroom. We managed to get some insight into Verizon’s plan through the early leaks from the well known Droid-Life and @evleaks and on top of all this everything was confirmed after a short TV ad was released by Verizon. Verizon’s plans to have improved 4G speeds under the “XLTE” banner have been brought up from under the covers.
With these new plans, Verizon wishes to bring improved performance in areas where Verizon has added AWS wireless spectrum. So that means if you are one of the lucky people who are residing in an XLTE region, you can benefit from double bandwidth and higher peak speeds. According to the leaks, the Big Red is going to announce XLTE on /4/19th. So far we haven’t gotten the list that confirms the cities which are going to get the XLTE and it’s not that we want to pop your bubble of happiness but the reality check is important here; residing in one of these cities does not guarantee that you are going to enjoy the XLTE because you also need to own a hardware which supports the upgrade.
