With Curved OLED Display And Scaled-Down Version Of iOS 8
Ever since we have been expecting the first smartwatch from Apple, most of the digging into the iOS 8 has been about it. But considering how Apple is always very careful and secretive about its unannounced products, this one is no different and unfortunately nothing was given away. However, a recent report from Japan does look into the form factor of the wearable as well as the software and design.
The Japanese publication Nikkei says that the device is going to come out in October and will obviously run on an iOS 8 variant. We have already heard that it will have a round OLED display and the report suggests the same. Things get interesting where we hear about the plethora of biometric sensors that will no doubt aid the quest of gathering health-related information from the wearer. Some previous reports on the iWatch have also hinted towards two different variants which will have different size configurations; a 1.3-inch-displaying model apparently geared towards women alongside a larger, male-aimed 1.7-inch variant.
One thing has certainly caught our attention from the Nikkei report and it is that Apple will apparently plan a monthly commercial output of about 3-5 million units which shows us that Apple is feeling very confident about its device and knows that it will sell well.
