The Android wearable has a smartphone processor inside
LG G Watch is becoming available for pre order form today in 12 countries including US, Canada, UK, Germany, South Korea and Japan. This smartwatch which is a collaboration between Google’s Android and LG is not just a plain old wearable in fact it is no less than a smartphone from the inside. The 1.65-inch (280 x 280) IPS display of the Android wear is powered by a substantial Snapdragon 400 chip which is the same Qualcomm processor found inside the Galaxy S4 Mini.
Everything about the smartwatch is noteworthy and every other feature takes us one step closer to next level. Voice recognition and Google Now integration form the main highlights of the Android LG smartwatch and the speed-to-text feature is more than what we had hoped for considering how old school tapping on the screen to text is. And as we have already heard, the smartwatch is loaded with sensors including a nine-axis gyro, accelerometer and compass. Inside is a 400mAh battery which is bigger as compared to what is featured on Samsung wearables and 4GB worth of storage space is provided along with 512MB of memory for support.
