Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea were on opposite sides of the camp when it came to the BET Awards. Whereas Azalea had ghostwritten the lyrics to several songs by other people, Nicki pointedly said that “If Nicki spat it, Nicki wrote it!”
These words were of course taken out of context and used as a point of contention between the two rappers. Nicki began by responding in a sensible way to the whole propaganda.
She said that she meant no disrespect by her words and that if it had seemed that way to so many she was sorry for her speech. She responded on her twitter about the feud.
Nicki Minaj spoke of how many times words were put into the mouths of people who had said them in an offhand manner and not meant them seriously.

She said that she had always respected and held Iggy Azalea in great esteem and wouldn’t dare speak any rubbish about her.

Meanwhile, Azalea too had been silent regarding the whole controversy but at last she was forced to respond due to the rumors of a feud that were circulating.
Iggy Azalea said that she was really sick and tired of the media and public hanging on to every scrap of controversy and catfight they could get their hands on.
It was a crying shame and ought not to happen. She said that it reeked of pettiness and mean politics. And she also spoke of how if she did not win a BET award this year than so what?!
Maybe next year she would win one. Nicki too had supported females who were doing it on their own and writing lyrics. This obviously included Iggy Azalea so how could the two be at loggerheads?
Azalea posted her statement on her Instagram account with caption: “This is my mind state about everything & the only time I’m ever going to refer to this again so go nuts guys, Enjoy it. Ps. If you squint exxxtra hard you can see tiny elves having illuminati meetings between the lines in my notes app too.” See her Instagram below.
Nicki was also recently spotted emerging from her hotel room onto the streets without any makeup. She waved to the crowds of people that gathered around her. And she seemed in a relaxed and carefree mood as she made her way through the people all of whom were her fans.
