Jennifer Aniston’s beau, Justin Theroux, has recently revealed that he will not direct Zoolander 2. Instead Ben Stiller will again direct the sequel.
Justin Theroux has recently revealed plans regarding Zoolander 2. The 43-year-old Hollywood star, who played the role of the evil villain D.J., in the original comedy film Zoolander directed by Ben Stiller in 2001, has confirmed that a sequel of the comedy flick is in the works.
In a recent interview to Vulture, Theroux said, “We’ve got a script for the sequel, and we’ve just been in talks again. We’re trying to sharpen it and hone it and, actually, I don’t want to jinx anything, but it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running.”
The previous rumors suggest that Justin Theroux will direct Zoolander 2. However, Jennifer Aniston’s fiancé, who plays Kevin Garvey in HBO’s new series The Leftovers, has stated that he will not direct the sequel because of his busy schedule. And he also said that Ben Stiller will be the right choice for directing Zoolander 2.

“I don’t think I’m going to do it any more, ” said Theroux. “It really depends on whether the show gets picked up. If it gets picked up, then I don’t think I’ll have the time to do it. So it’ll probably get handed to Ben, which would be awesome.”

And he also said that it is difficult to manage his schedule. But he is determined to do the sequel and will engage in some time management for it.
“It’s actually been a little hard with the show, but now I’m back full-time to dedicate time toward doing it,” said Justin. “I met with Ben [Stiller] a couple times when I was in New York doing The Leftovers, and then I’m meeting again with him probably in September.”
