Joan Rivers has been on life support ever since she stopped breathing during a throat surgery on Thursday and her friends and loving fans have been praying for her recovery. Sympathies and love notes came in from a lot of well recognized names who all wanted to wish well to the 81 year old comic legend and E! “Fashion Police” host. Sarah Silverman was among the many who extended their well wishes towards Joan and on Sunday she tweeted “We have a gig in 2 weeks and I’m not doing it without you YOU’RE BEING RIDICULOUS.”
Bette Midler also sent well-wishes also sought to Twitter and expressed his grief as he tweeted “Please, please, let #JoanRivers pull through.” Rivers’ “Fashion Police” co-host Kelly Osbourne has also shown a lot of concern for Rivers and her Twitter account said “4 the first time in years I got down on my knees & prayed tonight! I encourage U 2 do the same 4 @Joan_Rivers my grandma! #inconsolable.”
Friends nad family members are not only praying for Rivers but are also supporting her daughter Melissa Rivers in every way. We all know that Melissa has been subjected to a lot of criticism these past few days regarding the poor way she has handled the situation but Cher decided to speak up in full defense and her tweet on Sunday read “Shame on Those Who Say ‘Melissa Refuses 2 believe a World Might Exist Without Her mom #JoanRivers in it’. She LOVES Her Mom,We All Do.”
