Amazon Blazons 3 New Kindle Fire Tablets

Amazon

Just in time for the shopping season, Amazon is announcing three new Kindle Fire tablets: the Fire HDX 8.9 tablet, the new Fire HD, and the Fire HD Kids Edition.

A flop doesn’t mean the end. In fact, it is to be seen as an opportunity. For Amazon, lowering the price of its shiny phone is a chance to get more sales. As the shopping season nudges, particularly Black Friday, Amazon is showcasing three new Kindle Fire tablets: the Fire HDX 8.9 tablet, the new Fire HD, and the Fire HD Kids Edition, which is self-explanatory.

Amazon wants to cater a specific need. For example, if the new Kindle Voyage is ideal for book lovers, the new Fire HDX is better suited to power users who use tablets as their workstations. The tablet features an 8.9-inch display, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, LTE connectivity, new HDX display with a 339 pixel density, and a full-feature keyboard with a trackpad. It’s also reportedly 20 percent lighter than the iPad. You /4/now pre-order the Fire HDX for $379. That’s for the 16GB model.

For the average user, Amazon is offering a new Fire HD tablet, which comes in two sizes: 6-inches and 7-inches. Priced at $99 and $139 for the 6-inch and 7-inch models, respectively, the new Fire HD tablet is great for viewing videos, photos, and digital content. The new Fire HD has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 2-megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, and up to eight hours of battery life.

Lastly, the kid-centric Fire HD Kids Edition is pre-loaded with over 5,000 books, movies, TV shows, and apps – all for free, thanks to a year’s worth of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited subscription. Even better is the two-year worry-free guarantee. What is that? Basically, Amazon is offering to replace the tablet for free in case your kid accidentally breaks his or her tablet. No questions asked. No explaining to do, either.

Moreover, the Fire HD Kids Edition is not a toy, at least that is what Amazon is saying. For only $149, your little Dave will get a 6-inch display. You can also get the 7-inch model for $189. And, by the way, all three Kindle Fire tablets are running Amazon’s new Fire OS “Sangria.”
