The Modern Family actress, Elizabeth Pena departed this world at the relatively early age of 55 years.
After a temporary disease, Elizabeth Pena passed away despite there being no complications. She was 55 years of age, a time when most people start thinking of retirement. She breathed her last on Tuesday. Pena was especially well-known for playing the mama of Sofia Vergara on the television show titled Modern Family.
Elizabeth was both a TV and film personality during a generation-long career in show business. She also dabbled in directing which is a very difficult job indeed. Among the characters she played, most were in shows such as: Down and Out in Beverly Hills, La Bamba, Rush Hour and The Incredibles.
Her performance in Matador awhile back was her last show on earth. The actor Lou Diamond Phillips wrote on Twitter that she was such a force in the industry and that it was such a shock to learn of her death. It breaks your heart when such a nice and wonderful person leaves this world for the next.
Elizabeth was indeed an absolutely sparkling gem of an actress who inspired so many by her reel life. All the prayers of those who knew her go out for her journey in the afterlife.
Pena’s provenance was New Jersey and she got her higher education from New York’s High School of Performing Arts. That was in 1977. Pena leaves behind her a husband and two kids.
Her mother and sister are also among those who are left without a daughter and sibling respectively. Pena was of Cuban-American stock and she had also appeared in Lone Star.
Some other roles she landed were in movies such as: Times Square, Blue Steel, The Waterdance and Jacob’s Ladder. The TV programs she appeared in included in their repertoire: Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Dream On and Resurrection Blvd.
She was in the 80’s situational comedy I Married Dora and also lent her voice to Justice League and American Dad. She was truly a source of inspiration for so many. /4/her family, friend and fans find the patience to endure her loss with stoicism and perseverance!
