Targa will hit dealerships this summer
Porsche has pulled the wraps off its latest version of the 911 called the 911 Targa, the car will come in multiple Targa models including the 911 Targa 4 and the 911 Targa 4S. Both Targa models have a removable middle roof panel.
To remove the roof, the driver needs only hit a button and the car does the magic for them. The top stores away behind the rear seats of the car. Both of the Targa models come only in AWD versions and have the Porsche Traction Management system found in all 911s.
The Targa 4 is powered by a 3.4L 6-cylinder engine with 350hp. When that car is matched with the PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono package, it is able to reach 60mph in 4.6 seconds. That car also has a top speed of 175mph.
The 911 Targa 4S has 500hp with a 3.8L 6-cylinder engine. When it has the PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono pack, it can reach 60mph in 4.2 seconds. The 4S has a top speed of 183 mph. The 911 Targa 4 will sell for $101,600 with the 911 Targa 4S selling for $116,200. Both versions of the Targa will be available this summer.
