Despite the company’s claim that their first update to OS X Yosemite will fix all unspecified Mac Wi-Fi issues, Mac users are still facing the problem.
A new update to OS X Yosemite has been released by Apple on Monday. This update includes fixes for all the indefinite Mac Wi-Fi problems, according to the company’s claim. But, many of the Mac users who previously complained that OS X Yosemite crippled their Wi-Fi are still grouching that the update did not resolve their Wi-Fi problems.

OS X Yosemite was first released on October 16th and until now no update has been released. But due to Wi-Fi issues the company released the first update. The update is of 311 MB and is called OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.
According to a spokesman of Apple, OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 not only improves Wi-Fi reliability, but it also improves the connectivity to Microsoft cooperate mail server. He also said that the Wi-Fi reliability was a big problem for their Apple users in the past month, thus they had to pay close attention to this issue. And why shouldn’t they, after all, customer satisfaction is the key to Apple’s success.
Other issues such as the setting of the notification center changes after the restart, Mac App store isn’t displaying certain updates, cannot connect to a remote computer and problems that prevent Mac minicomputer to wake from sleep mode are also taken care of in OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.
The update focuses on resolving the issue regarding sharing services, actions and Notification center widgets unavailability. It also caters problems that prevent Mac users to send messages to some specific email service providers.
The major concern for Apple users as well as the company was the Wi-Fi reliability and the update mainly focuses on this fix. When an Apple’s spokesman was questioned regarding the issues, he refused to comment. He said nothing that could help us identify what exactly the problem was. Nor did he comment on the massive number of messages on Apple’s support discussion forums.
With the hour of OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 release, a large number of Mac users posted on the support forum complaining regarding the connectivity issues. The largest thread on the forum contained almost 1,100 messages by Monday and it was seen more than 208,000 times.
The thread and the Apple’s support Forum have been full of claims by the Mac users stating that the upgrade did not resolve the Wi-Fi issue. There were a few who said that after the update, they were not able to connect to Wi-Fi at all. And others said that they lost connectivity within moments of establishing a connection.
According to Morten James Carlsen, the OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 did not fix his Wi-Fi issue. He said that he had to go through the same process in order to connect to the Wi-Fi and this is not a very good sign. Since the company has not been able to come up with a good solution, so we are back at square one.
You can now download OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 from App Store.
