Parrot Bebop Drone goes on Sale for $499

The new flagship drone from French gadget maker Parrot is finally on sale. The Bebop drone is 8x more powerful than the popular Parrot AR. Drone 2.0.

The Parrot Bebop Drone is on sale for $499.95 on the Apple Store and at Best Buy. Apple features the new Bebop Drone in the just released Apple Holiday Gift Guide 2014.

The Parrot Bebop Drone gives you superior flight performance with easy control from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Thanks to is feather-weight ABS reinforced structure, Parrot Bebop Drone is robust and safe. It even offers an emergency function that automatically stops the propellers and lands the drone in case of emergency. Thanks to a GPS system, a Return Home function brings the Bebop drone easily back to its take-off point.

For safer indoor flights, Bebop Drone comes with EPP hulls. And to ensure optimal stability without compromising maneuverability, the Bebop Drone automatically analyzes data from numerous 3-axis sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. It also takes advantage of an ultrasound sensor with a 26.25-foot reach, one pressure sensor, and one vertical camera to measure speed.
