ASUS has announced to introduce Intel-powered 4G LTE smartphones at CES 2015. ASUS Press Event for CES 2015 titled “Experince 2morrow” is going to be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m (7:00 p.m. GMT).
As we all know in just about 20 days all the technology companies from around the world are going to gather at Las Vegas for the International CES 2015. Many of these companies have already announced their new technology and ideas. So how could ASUS stay behind? ASUS has announced plans to introduce its new Intel-powered 4G LTE smartphones at CES 2015.
All these companies attending the CES hold their CES press events a few weeks before and offer a glimpse of what they will be introducing at the event. However ASUS just announced that it has planned its CES press event “Experience 2morrow” on 5th January, which means that the press event is just one day before the start of the CES 2015.
ASUS has put this on its website with a count-down to its CES press event. The press event is also going to be streamed live via the ASUS website. The press event is going to be held in Caesars Palace, Palace Ballroom in Las Vegas.
Although these details have been given by ASUS on its website, no details about any product launch or any other detail about what we would expect at the press event is given out. We are helped by Intel in this case, as Intel on its website has given out some details.
It looks like that Intel and ASUS have teamed up once again and are going to introduce 4G LTE smartphones at the CES 2015. Well taking a guess and where information leads us it seems that the new devices are going to be part of the ZenFone lineup.
Intel also reveals that the new smartphones are going to be in the $300 range. Moreover the ZenFone series is available in 4 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch models with Intel processors. Now about the new ZenFone models it is being said that some of them are going to retain the Intel processors but others could rely on chipsets that are made by MediaTek.
ASUS has also revealed its intention to capture the Chinese and the emerging markets with these new smartphones. Now the MediaTek powered ZenFones are going to be cheaper than $300 even.
Last year at the CES 2014 ASUS had launched its Intel powered ZenFone 4, 5 and 6 with Intel Atom CPUs, so now it is time for ASUS to bring about a change and give the consumer something new. Plus ASUS had also introduced a Transformer Book Duet which never made to the market. Let’s see what new things ASUS has to offer to us this time at the CES 2015 apart from the 4G LTE smartphones.
