The online buzz is crucial for Super Bowl ads. This year so far only one Super bowl ad has truly gone viral.

The Super Bowl 2014 takes place on February 2, and will have the Broncos play against the Seahawks in the Big Game. Besides the game there will be again a huge line-up of Super Bowl ads. Fox managed to charge $4 million on average for 30 second spots. Almost 20 Super Bowl 2014 ads have been officially released online ahead of the big game so far. Several of these Super Bowl ads managed to go viral, which means they got at least 1 million views. There are several Super Bowl 2014 Ads including the Volkswagen, SodaStream and Axe that amassed millions of views, but only one ad broke into double digits and that in record time. The Budweiser Puppy Love Super Bowl ad was watched by over 11 million fans in less than 24 hours of it’s release yesterday.

In past years we also have seen Super Bowl teaser videos that went viral like Kate Upton’s Mercedes car wash or VW’s Bark Side, but this year they all failed to catch on including the Carmen Electra Volkswagen teaser.

Super Bowl 2014 will take place in New Jersey on February 2. The big game will be played in the Metlife stadium in East Rutherford. It will be the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl.
