AMPL Labs has announced its decision to unveil its new powerful solution for consumers who are worried about their mobile devices running out of power while on the go. That is why
AMPL Labs has decided to introduce the AMPL SmartBackpack the first that will integrate smart electronics seamlessly into the fabric of the bag at the International CES 2015 in Las Vegas that starts from next week.
This SmartBackpack will provide the users with an advanced mobile charging system that will also protect their portable electronic devices with shock absorbing dampers and a rain-resistant coating.
Moreover the Bag’s SmartSensors communicate battery charge levels and sensor info into to the dedicated AMPL Mobile App. This Bag pack seems will put on quite an impressive show at the CES 2015.
Michael Patton the CEO of AMPL Labs stated that the company’s research showed that 85 percent of consumers surveyed worried about their portable electronics running out of power.
He further explained that the company is busy developing its SmartBackpack from the inside out and is stressing upon design and engineering, in order to address the needs of the consumers.
The charging system of the bag is comprised of seven USB connections and an internal 18.5 watt-hour (WH) battery that can easily recharge a smartphone 2-3 times. The bag also supports up to three optional modular SmartBatteries.
The SmartBatteries will come in two sizes TabletBoost and LaptopBoost which can charge most laptops directly or through the optional SmartInverter module with an AC outlet that is sold separately.
These AMPL SmartBatteries feature fast-charging technology which monitors conditions inside the battery and also adjusts the charging rate accordingly. This intelligent adaptive charging enables them to recharge more than twice as fast as traditional Li-Ion batteries.
The Backpack has also recently won two CES 2015 Innovation Awards. The backpack communicates through Bluetooth LE with the AMPL Mobile App which allows the consumers to manage the charging priority of their devices and check the battery levels, internal zone temperatures, weather conditions and even drop forces.
This new SmartBackpack by AMPL Labs will be available in the market this summer staring at a price of $299.
