TalkLocal will introduce its Free Smartphone App at the CES 2015 which can record audio of service request details and connect consumers to the Right available Pro by a smartphone in 90 seconds.
The Local services marketplace TalkLocal has finally launched its iPhone and Android apps. These apps will be displayed by TalkLocal at the CES 2015. The app will be available for free download at Apple and Google Play stores.
The app ranks local pros and then connects consumers by phone to the top pros available. In a recent beta test that the app took part in, the app successfully connected to the TalkLocal founder Gurpreet Singh to an electrician only minutes after awaking to the smell of smoke and calling 911.
Amandeep Bakshi the chief of Products for TalkLocal stated that the launching of a mobile app is the right step for the company. He explained that most of the conversations that take place between the company’s users are via their mobile phones. Amandeep was citing a recent source that was a Google study in which 88 percent of consumers were found to search local stores via their mobile phones.
The new TalkLocal mobile app users can now enter their contact information, describe their needs and then hear up to 3 matching professionals by phone in about 90 seconds. This is nearly 50 times faster at getting the right live pro than alternatives like Siri.
Moreover TalkLocal connects consumers through Voice over IP to keep their personal contact information private. The app by TalkLocal matches consumers to businesses based on their location, online ratings, schedule and reviews and other forms of feedback. Then the app takes on matching businesses and consumers by phone.
More to the news is that the TalkLocal Developer Stephen Gardener has stated that the app also has a number of useful new features and abilities. This makes the app a ‘silent Siri for local services’.
The app is featuring a GPS Locator for searching nearby and then saves and automatically re-enters contact information. Gardener also explained that the company has worked extra hard to eliminate those tiny disruptions that pop up in local search such as typing on your thumbs or not knowing the zip code of your location. The app comes over all these problems stated Gardener.
TalkLocal was launched in late 2012 and raised more than $4 million in funding to date. The company has sent over one million phone calls to local businesses.
The company connects consumers and businesses in 46 categories which include auto-repair, HVAC, dentistry and plumbing. The company has many offices over the world in cities such as San Francisco, DC and now College Park Maryland.
