The phone debuts with 64-bit processor, 13-megapixel camera
Looks like HTC was fully prepped up for the CES event today and it not only unveiled the entry-level Desire 320 this morning but also presented a comparatively higher-end Desire smartphone; the HTC Desire 826. This is HTC’s Desire Eye-esque smartphone which has a pretty impressive camera setup with a 13 MP rear camera and an UltraPixel shooter on the front of the device. This is paired together with HTC’s Eye Experience suite of camera goodies.
On the inside HTC has also fitted the BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio on the Desire 826’s face and an impressive 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display. One of the most interesting bits is hiding inside the polycarbonate frame of the phone which is the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. Along with this, the phone features 2 GB worth of RAM, a 2600mAh battery and Android 5.0 running beneath HTC Sense.
According to HTC, the phone has been designed keeping in mind the market requirements in the Asia-Pacific region for where it is targeted. We still haven’t been told whether the phone is going to be released outside that region or not, but one thing is for sure that everyone would want to have a taste of this slightly higher end HTC smartphone which crams together everything we look for in a phone.
