Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch a cheaper version of Xbox One by the end of this year that would cost $399 (but it comes without a Blu-ray drive).
The game console price war is going to heat up. Microsoft is really looking to compete with Sony‘s PS4 gaming console in terms of price. VG247 reports that the tech giant is going to launch a cheaper version of its Xbox One gaming console by the end of this year.
But this low-cost Xbox One console would be launched without a Blu-ray drive. And this version would only come with a bluetooth adaptor. However, the gaming website’s source did not confirm that the cheaper Xbox One version will be a disc-less one.
But the price of this Xbox One version will be cheaper than the current model. The current Xbox One’s price is $499. The price of this no Blu-ray Xbox One could be $399. And this price tag matches that of Sony’s PlayStation 4. Some other reports also suggest that Microsoft will release the Halo 2 Anniversary Edition with a beta for Halo 5 on November 11, 2014.
