Audi will not return to the Super Bowl 2015 Ad Line-up.
Audi has joined the pretty long list of car brands that drop out of the Super Bowl 2015 Ad line-up. The list of confirmed car brands that will not run a Super Bowl 2015 Ad includes now besides Audi, GM, Volkswagen, Lincoln, Jaguar, Honda and Acura.
Audi ran their first Super Bowl ad in 2008 and has been advertising each year since then with entertaining ads. I remember the Audi Anteater ads from 2010 or the weird Doberhuahua from last year’s Audi Super Bowl ad.
So why is Audi not running a Super Bowl ad this year? Adage released a statement from Audi spokesman Andrew Lipman: “The Super Bowl has been a valuable part of the Audi marketing plan for nearly a decade, Audi’s Super Bowl commercials have increased awareness and showroom traffic post-game. He did not elaborate on why Audi is not advertising this year.
The list of Super Bowl 2015 Car ads include so far Mercedes-Benz, Kia, BMW, Lexus, Toyota and Nissan are the car makers that already confirmed a Super Bowl 2015 Ad.
