The company unveiled the 2nd-Gen Moto G And Moto X along with the Moto X Pro Phablet
Motorola was certainly off the scene in China but recent announcements show that the company is back to the stage and it sure is back with a bang. Their presence back in the country is an event prophesized before when Motorola Mobility was purchased by Lenovo from Google. The company has unveiled a bunch of new devices at their press event and most of it was highly expected and rumored already.
Motorola has announced the coming of the 2nd-gen Moto G and Moto X, along with the Moto X Pro. We are all aware of the Moto G and Moto X which have been on the headlines since quite some time and they are already available in numerous markets across the globe. It is finally China’s turn to enjoy and claim their Moto share (finally!).
What some of you might not be familiar with is the Moto X Pro which is an entirely new name coming Motorola but this is essentially the Nexus 6 phablet which has been donned with a couple of Moto apps. The devices, which will offer 4G LTE connectivity, will be available in China after the Spring festival which falls on February 19th.
The Moto G as we all know it features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display and runs on 1 GB of RAM. It has 8GB of RAM which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz and ships with the Adreno 305 GPU. The camera setup is pretty impressive for a Moto with an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front shooter.
The Moto X as compared to this falls slightly on the higher end side of things with 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of non-removable in-built storage. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC along with an Adreno 330 GPU. The cameras also receive an upgrade with the back camera offering 13 MP worth of goodness coupled with a dual-LED flash and a 2 MP front shooter.
The Moto X Pro as we mentioned earlier is much the same as the Nexus 6. It has a 6-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core CPU clocked at 2.7GHz paired with Adreno 420 GPU for graphics. The back camera is a 13-megapixel OIS with dual LED flash and is completed with a 2 MP front shooter.
