The USA Today Ad Meter 2014 results are in. This year’s winning ad was clear. The Budweiser Puppy Love Super Bowl 2014 ad has been a viral hit right out of the gate when Anheuser-Busch released the Clydesdales ad last week. The Budweiser Puppy Love Super Bowl ad has gathered 36 million views on Youtube so far. As predicted the Puppy Love commercial has won the USA Today Ad Meter 2014 ranking. Budweiser won the Ad Meter ranking also last year with the Clydesdales Brotherhood ad. The Puppy Love Budweiser Superbowl ad is the follow-up of the Clydesdales ad titled Brotherhood. As you remember Brotherhood was about a young Clydesdales horse and his trainer and how they kept their connection even after being separated. A real tear jerker and the ad won the USA Today Admeter 2013.
This year the USA Today Ad Meter voting had 6,272 preregistered panelists vote on the over 50 Super Bowl 2014 Ads. The Budweiser Puppy Love Super Bowl ad aired very late in the Big Game, but still took home the crown.
A big surprise for me is that the Doritos Super Bowl ads are ranked that high. The Doritos Super Bowl 2014 Ad Cowboy Kid took second place. Third place goes again to Budweise with the A Hero’s Welcome Ad. Fourth is again Doritos with their second ad titled Time Machine.
