Rumors say as early as Feb. 12th
While the Apple Watch will not be officially launched until April, it is being rumored all over the internet that Apple is asking their major app developers to have an app ready by the middle of February. Apple would like to have Apple Watch demos in their stores before the official launch of the product and executives would like to be able to have at least one app ready to go with the demos. The company would also like to have this time before the launch to educate Apple store workers on how the apps will operate.
The big rumor that has been posted on several big technology websites is that Apple is asking to have several of their big app developers to have a product ready by as early as February 12th. When the Apple Watch had its launch by CEO Tim Cook back in September, several big name companies such as BMW and American Airlines had readily available screenshots of their Apple Watch apps. It will be without a doubt that the same apps that are notorious on iPhones will eventually find their way on to the Apple Watch.
The release of apps for the Apple Watch would pretty much set the wheels in motion for the release of the device. The past couple weeks have seen more and more information being released about the Apple Watch. Consumers have been able to find out more about the operating system that will power the smartwatch. There has been an online demo released and there have also been some early information as to exactly how much an Apple Watch will cost. The anticipation for the release is certainly high for the Apple Watch on the heels of the latest report that Apple was able to set record breaking sales of iPhones and total revenue earnings during the fourth quarter of 2014.
