Better Call Saul pilot premiered with record ratings along with its AMC line up with the Talking Dead followed by high ratings premiere of the mid-season premiere of Walking Dead.
AMC declared itself a proud network after the Sunday line up when it produced record breaking ratings one after the other. The Walking Dead has become a milestone for nabbing the most ratings on TV especially among the adult viewers ranging from 25-45 years old viewers.
The Walking Dead has played a big part in that since its premiere. It has been receiving excellent ratings since it’s premiere, averaging a 2.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 5.23 million total viewers with its short, six-episode first season in the fall of 2010, the series has built with each half season since: 3.4 rating/6.45 million in fall 2011, 3.9 rating/7.45 million in winter 2012, 5.3 rating/10.08 million in fall 2012, 5.8 rating/11.41 million in winter 2013, 6.6 rating/12.98 million in fall 2013, and 7.5 rating/14.56 million in winter 2014.

The zombie apocalyptic show premiered its midseason premiere and managed to do it once more. The show received 15.6 million viewers and a 8.0 rating among adults 18-49. It is not the highest rating the show has got but it is definitely one of the greatest any show has gotten this year and we are talking about some big time shows including the Grammy award show on CBS, Super Bowl and Blacklist. The zombie show was the only show to near the ratings of these super events on TV.
So, how do you help kick start a show with just being scheduled to premiere after it. The new AMC show, Better Call Saul premiered its pilot or demo right before the midseason premiere of the Walking Dead and became the third show to receive the most ratings on record. Right after ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder and Broadwalk’s “Empire”, both at 3.8. The show premiered with 3.5 ratings between adult viewers of 25-49. The show will continue to air on its usual Tuesday spot from now on and it will be interesting to see whether Walking Dead had a part in the show’s successful running or was it the hype of the show on its own.
The last of the line up included Talking Dead in which the actors and makers of the zombie apocalyptic show talk about the latest developments on the show especially when the star is appearing for the last time on the show; R.I.P. Chad aka Tyreese who died in the midseason premiere of the show. The show received 1.9 million viewers on its own and added to the show’s ratings. AMC expressed their happiness on the amazing ratings and thanked all the people who had believed in the network and made it so popular.
