According to a latest study conducted by Crittercism, Android latest OS Lollipop is much better in reliability and stability as compared to iOS 8 by Apple. The new study conducted will certainly fire up more debates and discussions on the latest OS for Android and Apple devices. Though, Apple has already crushed Android when it comes to sales, however; when it comes to stability, Android Lollipop 5.0 takes the trophy.
In order to gather information related the OS stability, Crittercism developers came up with such tools that compare various versions of each OS and figure out the number of times an app crashed in each OS. It is reported that more than 20,000 apps were checked on various platforms and figures revealed that some versions of OS do come with a number of bugs in it. The most unstable version of Android was Icecream Sandwich 4.0, and KitKat 4.0 was just a step behind.
Therefore, both of these OS brought up a lot of crashes. However, Android Lollipop 5.0 which is popular for its bugs, turned out that it is far more stable than its previous versions. Similarly, a number of crashes appeared on iOS 8.0 while checking various apps, which /4/not appear shocking for Apple since it is already aware of the crash history. Apple device owners can definitely feel the difference after upgrading from iOS 7 to iOS 8.
Analysts also mentioned that it is not possible to find out how stable Android Lollipop 5.0 will be in long term since only a small chunk of mobile users have updated version of Android Lollipop. The stability of an OS is strictly dependent on the version, as it does not necessarily means that the newer version will be a guaranteed stable one. A number of iPhone users have experienced far less crashes in iOS 7 as compared to a shaky iOS 8.
