- APPLE SETTING UP NEW STANDS IN GALAREIS LAFAYETTE FOR DISPLAY OF APPLE WATCHES
Apple is setting up a large display stand in the Parisian luxury store Galeris Lafayette to display the Apple watches and will soon expand to other stores!
Galeris Lafayette a luxury brands store on the Boulevard Haussmann in Paris will probably be featuring a stand for the new Apple Watches. According to Mac4Ever the first floor of the department store would be utilized for the display of Apple Watches and it further reports the possible spread of display in other stores located on the Avenues des Champs-Elysees.
The Apple Watches are to be launched in April 2015 and the construction on the display stands started in February. Mac4Ever claims the particulars of the display stand construction has been kept a secret and was specifically supervised by Angela Ahrendts. Ahrendts, the former CEO of Burberry, and now the Apple’s retail chief was in charge of the organizational duties of setting up the display stands.

Another source FashionMag.com reports the display project has taken over the place of a former food court are and some minor jewelry shops. The project will most definitely take up about area equal to four balconies in the Galeries Lafayette.
The space is most probably leased by Apple and located near the Celine Saint Laurent and Miu Miu stores. It is unclear whether the watches will be sold permanently at the display stands or the construction is merely for a launch event.

As the launch of the Apple Watches comes near more news has been resurfacing regarding the project. It was previously reported the Apple Watch will be featured on the wrist of the Victoria Secret model Candice Swanepoel, while gracing the cover of Self magazine for the March edition. The Apple Watches are the first venture by the tech giant Apple into the fashion world.

The Apple watches will range from entry level model of Apple Watch Sport to the high end version Apple Watch Edition consisting of a 18K gold case. Apple would be installing high end safe systems in its store to ensure the safety of the expensive jewelry items.
Apple has produced about 5-6 million orders of the Apple Watches for the initial launch. More than half of the production is of Apple Watch Sport, while the gold Apple Watch Edition is the most expensive luxury item. Apple employees are being instructed in the proper handling of the watches. Apple will start shipping Apple Watch in April.
