Tinder introduces Tinder Plus, a premium version of its popular dating app.
The popular dating app, Tinder, gets a premium version. Tinder Plus adds two features with Passport and Rewind. Tinder Passport lets you change your location to connect with people anywhere around the world.
Users can search by city or drop a pin on the map and they can begin swiping, matching and chatting with Tinder users in a destination of their choice. You can switch between your current location and new destinations. This feature allows Tinder users to make connections before going on a trip or before relocating. Passport is the more valuable new feature that Tinder. The second feature in Tinder Plus is Rewind. This feature lets you take back your last swipe.
This feature is helpful for drunk swiping. If you accidentally swiped left on someone you want to get to know, they’re no longer lost in the Tindersphere forever. Now you can get him/her back with the touch of a button.
Other differences between Tinder and the Tinder Plus app are the unlimited liking capability and no commercials. Limiting likes is a defense for fraudulent use of Tinder by users or bots and would not affect average users.
Tinder Plus is priced based on the user’s age. Tinder Plus puts you back $19.99 per month for users older than 30, while it costs $9.99 per month for users under 30.
This is base pricing and Tinder is offering additional add-ons like killing ads. Pricing varies quite a lot by country.
Tinder will keep the basic Tinder app free. The addition of a premium app is a logical next step for the company. Tinder is on its way to become a major dating service player if a reasonable percentage adopts Tinder Plus.
