BGR claims the luxury version of the device could be priced at $1000
At this year’s MWC event we saw Huawei’s first effort into the smartwatch making as it presented the latest Android Wear-based circular smartwatch. During the announcement there was no light shed on the pricing details of the smartwatch but we were given some major hints as some reports said it would be really expensive and went far ahead to say that “the Huawei Watch price is $1,000.”
The Huawei Watch is also going to have a luxury version for those who enjoy a little extra bling as it will be made using real gold and silver and it appears likely that this price quoted by the sources is for this luxury version. The regular variant on the other hand has been made using sapphire lens and naturally it wouldn’t be this expensive. However, the device is still going to be costly and might even turn out to be the most expensive Android Wear smartwatch till now.
The watch has already been revealed officially and now we wouldn’t have to wait for too long till it hits the market. So far the expectations say that the company will start selling the watch by the mid of this year in 20 different markets across the globe including the US.
Thanks to the circular design, the Huawei Watch looks more like a classic watch but is extraordinary from the inside. The watch features 1.4-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixels (286 ppi) and apart from this the other features resemble the ones we have already seen on other Android Wear devices. We should be seeing a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 512 MB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.1, and a heart rate monitor sensor on the smartwatch .
