Dan Stevens Plays Beast opposite Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast

Disney has decided that they will be making the Beauty and the Beast movie which will star Dan Stevens as the Beast and Belle will be played by Emma Watson.

Dan Stevens played a magnificent role in Downtown Abbey. He also starred in the hit movie “The Guest”. Now Dan Stevens will be playing the beast in the new Disney action retelling of Beauty and the Beast, reports THR.

Emma Watson will be playing Belle who is the Beauty in the title. Luke Evans will probably play the villain Gaston according to the Hollywood Reporter. It looks like this will be a British movie as Bill Condon will be directing the movie and David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will be producing it.

So we can clearly see that Disney has been doing this for quite some time now. They have been taking their animated classics and they have been turning them into movies. We can take the example of the Cinderella movie which will be released on March 13th and this movie will also have British lead characters. The movie is already getting great reviews.

Other Disney movies like Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty made them $758.4 million. Beauty and the Beast is a story of a woman who takes her father’s place as a prisoner. She is taken to a monstrous being’s castle where she falls in love with a creature. That creature later turns out to be a prince.

Emma Watson is really happy to play the role of Belle. She said that the movie was a big part of her growing up. She said in her Facebook post that it felt surreal that she was going to dance to Be Our Guest and sing Something There. She also said that she will be taking some singing lessons.

Adam Stevens also played some supporting roles in ‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb’ and ‘A Walk Among the Tombstones’. Dan Stevens also posted a picture on his twitter account which said Beast Mode. Which means he is ready to take on the role of the beast in the upcoming movie.
