Natalia Kills and her husband Willy Moon both tweeted an apology to the contestant Joe Irvine who was brutally criticized by the duo on the X Factor New Zealand.
Natalia Kills and her husband Willy Moon have tried to clear the air by apologising after they were accused of bullying. Kills and Moon were judges on the New Zealand version of X Factor and recently they were embroiled in a scandal after they severely criticised a contestant after his performance.
The married couple harshly critiqued the contestant Joe Irvine after his performance during the 14th March transmission on Saturday and even went on to call Irvine ‘creepy’.
Following the transmission people around the world were shocked with the way Irvine was assessed by the judges and cited the criticism by Kill and Moon as bullying. Consequently Kills and Moon were fired from the show X Factor by the owner company Mediaworks.
Kills and Moon the married duo who lost their jobs due to the ‘bullying’ controversy married each other in 2014. Both husband Moon’s and wife Kills’ following their sacking took to twitter to apologise for their harsh behaviour against the contestant Irvine.
Kills tweeted she is glad to have finally broken her silence on the controversy. Kills went on to explain the process involved in the production of a reality TV series is pretty complex and what the audience views is only just part of the whole picture.
At last! I am relieved that I’m finally able to break the silence… xoxo pic.twitter.com/9ubfgJjjZm— NATALIA KILLS (@NataliaKills) March 19, 2015
According to Kills the show X Factor New Zealand made her a judge to bring her brand of passion and drama and she was constantly encouraged to be outspoken about her opinions regardless of any inhibitions.
However the whole debacle went out of control and Kills reached out to Joe Irvine especially on twitter and hoped Irvine would forgive Kills. Kills further wished Irvine the best and urged him to be natural and himself.
In a similar move Kills’ husband Moon tweeted a message with the same vibe and apologised to Joe Irvine after being fired. Moon stated in the tweet the show X Factor encouraged them to be brutally honest but Moon never intended to target someone specifically and agreed he went too far in his critique of Joe Irvine.
