Two More Bill Cosby Rape Victims come Forward

Sunni Welles and Margie Shapiro are the latest entries in the accusations against Bill Cosby.

It seems that there is nothing good for Bill Cosby as the accusations are still increasing. The latest accusations came forward this Friday from two women who have also accused the veteran comedian Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them when they were in their teen’s decades ago.

Sunni Welles and Margie Shapiro have joined the more than three dozen women who have also accused the 77 year old comedian of sexual assault. The two were alongside the renowned attorney Gloria Allred when they read their statements. 

Welles stated that she was a 17 year old aspiring singer at the time she met Bill Cosby. This she stated was in the 1960s in Hollywood after she visited a jazz club. She said Bill Cosby was a star and I kept all my memories locked away until all these brave women began to come forward and accuse him of the crimes he has done. Welles sobbed throughout her statement. 

Bill Cosby is best known for his ‘Americas Dad’ persona Dr. Cliff Huxtable on the top-rated ‘Cosby Show’. Moreover Cosby has never been charged over any of the allegations that have been made against him although he did settle a civil suit in 2005 over sexual misconduct. Cosby’s representatives did not make any statements after the accusations these two women made on Friday.

The attorney for Bill Cosby, Marty Singer however has dismissed similar allegations made by other women as defaming and false. However these accusations have given Cosby a hard time as his television projects have been either halted or cancelled. Many of his numerous comedy performances will not be seen due to these allegations but Cosby still continues with his ‘Far From Finished’ tour. 

Shapiro on the other hand said that she was only 19 and worked at a donut shop in Santa Monica, California when she met Cosby in November 1975. She stated that the comedian drove her to his place where she even took a box of matches with his name on it as a souvenir.

Then she stated that the comedian drove her to Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion where according to her she took a pill after losing a bet with Cosby and when she woke up she was sexually assaulted by Cosby. Shapiro also presented the matches when she made the statement. The match box had November 18, 1975 and ‘from my evening at Bill Cosby’s house’ scrawled in pen inside. 

Cosby on the other hand is all set to perform concert shows on Friday in Baltimore and Saturday in Charleston, West Virginia. Allred who represents several of the women who have accused Cosby stated that it seems that Cosby is treating these allegations as a joke.

The attorney has even criticized Cosby for wearing red silk pajamas in a 10 second video last month. She stated that with so many allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted women and they woke up in his bed, the decision by Cosby to wear his pajamas is very offensive.
