Maleficent Villain Angelina Jolie to Kids: Cause a Little Trouble -- It's Good for You

Angelina Jolie wins Best Villian Kids Choice Award for Maleficent. The star was present at the show with her two daughters.

Angelina Jolie this Saturday took the stage at Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kid’s Choice Awards and delivered a message of hope to all those who have felt they are out of place. This has been Angelina’s first public appearance since she revealed that she underwent a second preventive surgery in order to lower the risk of cancer.

Moreover Angelina was not alone and was accompanied by her two daughters Shiloh and Zahara. The 39 year old actress was very happy as she posed with her kids in the audience at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

The actress looked stunning in her black dress while her daughter Shiloh wore a gray hoodie and Zahara wore a cute white sweater. The trio also posed with Meghan Trainor, who was nominated for Favorite New Artist and Favorite Song of the Year.

When Angelina was announced as the favorite villain for her role as Maleficent in the live action re imagining of ‘Sleeping Beauty’, she hugged her daughters before she went up the stage to collect her award.

Angelina stated that when she was little like Maleficent she was always told that she was different. She explained that this was the reason why she felt out of place. Then she stated that one day she realized that different is good and that is what she wants everyone to realize and believe. The humanitarian and 39 year old actress really made the young crowd enjoy. She also stated that she wants children to make a little trouble as it is good for everyone especially the children. 

When talking about Angelina’s career it has been full of unconventional al twists and turns. From her role in the biopic ‘Gia’ to her current role as an actor, filmmaker and special envoy of the U.N’s High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina has done and tried everything.

Apart from her career, Angelina’s personal life also makes frequent front page headlines. These headlines include her adoption of children and her openness about discussing her health. Angelina also wrote an essay in the New York Times about her recent surgery that she underwent. She wrote that she opted for the surgery only after her blood tests had revealed markers that might have been an indication of early cancer. 

Apart from this recent surgery the renowned actress also underwent a double mastectomy for similar reasons two years ago. Well when people think that why Angelina is so fussy about this issue is maybe because Angelina’s mother had died of ovarian cancer.

Moreover Angelina possesses a gene mutation that makes her chances of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer much higher than the overall population. When Angelina had disclosed her decision about this recent surgery she received a lot of support on social media and other media platforms.

In her recent essay she wrote that it isn’t easy to make such decisions but it is definitely possible to take precautions and tackle any health issue. She wrote that people can and should take advice and learn about the options that are available to them and then make the right decision. Lastly she quoted Francis Bacon’s saying “knowledge is power”.
