Apple Watch Reviews Poor In

The pundits have just released their Apple Watch reviews and the Verdict is. Get the cheapest Apple Watch and buy the Apple Watch 2 when it comes out that solves the issues.

As expected, Apple has already sent out review samples of the Apple Watch to the usual suspects. Journalists at The Verge, WSJ, Re/Code, New York Times, ZDNet and CNET have published today their Apple Watch Reviews.

The Verge published the most in-depth review presented in a quite stunning layout. This does distract from the rather low Verge score of 7. Nilay Patel lists negatives that include performance issues with apps and location services, notification settings not granular enough and high cost. On the good side he says that the Apple Watch is easily the nicest smartwatch on the market, apps offer endless room for growth and taptic engine is really cool.

Patel is fine with the day long battery life, but gets hung up on the performance issues and lag of the Apple Watch.

As expected, the Apple Watch is a typical first generation Apple product. We recommend to get the $399 Apple Watch Sport and get ready to replace it with the Apple Watch 2 in 2016 that will have more CPU and GPU power. Don’t waste a Dollar more on the more expensive models. You will not get the money back when you sell the Apple Watch 1 in 2016.

Besides the smart watch features the Apple Watch keeps time to within 50 milliseconds of UTC, the universal time standard when synching regularly with the iPhone.
