Mariah Carey to make a Christmas Movie

The “Hero” songstress, Mariah Carey might be at the center of a new film. The deal is still in its nascent stages and so things are unclear yet something is definitely cooking.

A Mariah Carey movie for Christmas /4/lie in the cards. RatPac Entertainment has sold the rights to New Line. Mariah Carey will have a key role in the film. 

The ball got rolling when Mariah gave a hint to her friend Brett Ratner about a movie all about the spirit and magic of Christmas. 

Carey has a song in store for the movie too titled All I Want For Christmas Is You. This she sang way back in the mid-90s. 

The two writers connected with Ratner who will be working on the script have previously worked for The Family Man starring Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni. 

Until now, Mariah’s character in the movie remains a secret and everything is being hushed up so as to keep the eager audiences guessing. 

According to Deadline, Musical numbers from several other artists will also have their rightful place on the soundtrack besides Mariah’s song. 

It will probably make the season of Yuletide an even more festive and fun-filled occasion as scads of Christmas shoppers will fill theaters to watch Mariah in her copious pulchritude acting in a brand new movie.
