Twin Peaks Cast wants David Lynch Back

The cast of Twin Peaks is demanding David Lynch return to direct the project!

Last week on Sunday the co-creator of the cult classic show Twin Peaks announced he will be leaving the reboot project due to insufficient budget. The departure of the director Lynch put the future of the show in jeopardy and some of the cast members have spoken out has being against his departure. 

12 of the cast members from the show have recorded a video message asking Showtime to bring Lynch back on board as director. Actors including Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Peggy Lipton, James Marshall, Al Strobel and Kimmy Robertson have reacted to Lynch departure and demanded his return. 

In a similar move fans of the series have also called for Lynch’s return to the show through various social media platforms and online forums. More than 12000 fans have so far signed a petition demanding Lynch’s reinstatement to Twin Peaks. 

In the October of 2014 the executives at Showtime has announced they will be bringing back the cult classic Twin Peak back on TV. The executives further promised the original co-creators David lynch and Mark Frost will be returning on the project and will have creative freedom on the reboot project. 

Twin Peaks revival was formally announced last October by Showtime to be debuted in 2016 to mark the 25th anniversary of the original show. The Showtime network executives even promised that Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost would have complete creative freedom working on the revival.

Mark Frost is also slated to release a book this year which will bridge the gap between the end of the original series and its revival set after many years. However Frost has yet to comment on Lynch’s departure and his own position and neither has Kyle MacLachlan the series lead.
