Furious 7 tops Box Office for Third Straight Week with $29.1 Million

Furious 7 stays ahead of competition for a third straight week as it earns $29.1 million.

Furious 7 has earned $29.1 million according to box office tracker Rentrak. This means that the movie has earned a staggering $294 million. This beats their previous record when they earned $202.8 million from the Fast & Furious 6 movie.

We have reported that the Furious 7 movie crossed the $1 billion mark on Friday. Media analyst Paul Dergarabedian claims that the film has set a new standard for the potential for box office in the pre-summer month of April.

The movie has made new records and it has received pretty good reviews. The movie also received a very good word of mouth and the main reason why this movie was such a big hit is because people wanted to support the late star Paul Walker.

Paul Walker’s brother Cody agreed to do the movie on his brother’s behalf. Cody filled in on some of the long shots for him.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 earned $24 million from Friday to Sunday. The first Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie earned $31.8 million on its opening weekend.

Sony’s president of worldwide distribution said that it is great movie and it has something Kevin wanted to do. He said that Sony fully supported Kevin in his new movie.

So it seems like if you give the actors what they want, the studios can make a big profit off them. Unfriended earned $16 million dollars.

It was pretty good for the movie as it had a budget of just around $1 million. Universal was very happy with Furious 7 and Unfriended as both of the movies made them a large amount of profit.

Universal partnered with Blumhouse and they believe if you find success then you should look to repeat that success. Unfriended audience included 60 percent females and 74 percent of the crowd was under 25.

Disney’s Monkey Kingdom came in on seventh and it earned $4.7 million. Whereas Kevin Hart’s Get Hard wasn’t a huge success as it only earned $4.8 million.
