John Oliver Creates far better Doomsday Video than CNN hosted by Martin Sheen

CNN produced an actual doomsday video to broadcast when the world is ending. The video got leaked earlier this year, but it is incredibly dull. John Oliver in his HBO Last Week Tonight Show hired legendary actor Martin Sheen create an amazing doomsday video. The video celebrates humankind and their big and small achievements as well as their failures.

The CNN Doomsday video leaked in January on Jalopnik. Ted Turner ordered the video around the launch of CNN over 30 years ago. The video shows a band playing “”Nearer My God To Thee,” which supposedly is the song the band played while the Titanic sank.

The former Daily Show correspondent establishes itself as the new comedy gold standard of investigative journalism. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver airs on HBO on Sunday’s at 11pm.
