The entertainment kingpin conglomerate HBO has bought the rights to the hit web comedy series titled High Maintenance.
High Maintenance is an all-time favorite show on the Vimeo and its rights have just been purchased by HBO. Now that means that six new episodes of the series will be coming on the boob tube and previous 19 episodes of the hit web comedy series, which originally debuted on Vimeo, will also be available later this year on HBO, HBO NOW and HBO GO.
“HIGH MAINTENANCE has proven to be one of today’s most highly-acclaimed online comedies,” stated Michael Lombardo, President of HBO Programming. “We are thrilled to bring this sophisticated and clever series to our HBO audience.”
Ben Sinclair and Lena Dunham have their own series thanks to this vital and crucial step. Sinclair and his spouse Katja Blichfeld began the project on Vimeo after much heming and hawing. According to the originators, it isn’t about television, it is all about artistic endeavor. This is very similar to HBO’s slogan.
“We have been growing this show organically for three years now, and we are elated to bring it into full maturity at HBO, the gold-standard of both online and televised entertainment,” said Blichfeld and Sinclair
High Maintenance was co-created by both the husband and wife pair mentioned earlier. At least half a dozen episodes will be airing soon on HBO. This is cause for excitement and a sense of anticipation among the fans of the series. It is basically a tale about a NYC pot dealer who delivers the weed to a wide variety of clientele on a bicycle.
Now the program with its twists and turns of plot will get fully featured on HBO for all to gaze at and marvel in its entertainment value. The series has already earned a prize for Sinclair and Blichfeld who could not be more prouder of their creation which began from scratch. HBO has discovered hidden talent and now it has also got a good thing going with the surplus episodes on its channel for audiences to view with pleasure and passion everywhere.
