The sequel has earned whopping $201.2 million with it release in just 44 territories
Avengers: Age of Ultron has a smashing opening worldwide. The film has grossed more than $201.2 million overseas with its release in just 44 territories across the globe. That makes only the 55% share in international marketplace with many more major markets are yet to be conquered.
The sequel to 2012 blockbuster earned $9.5 million on the first day of its release and piled up $44.8 million in the next few days. It is expected to mount and expands to its best in the coming few days as the film will hit the theaters of about 35 more territories worldwide including North America, China, Japan, Turkey, Poland and Thailand.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will make its debut in United States on /4/1st, China on /4/12, Mexico, Spain and Serbia on April 30th and Hungary and Poland on /4/7th, according to Forbes. The film is already dominating the theaters of South Korea ($28.2M), UK ($27.3M), Russia ($16.2M), Brazil and Australia ($13.1M) and France ($12.4M).
The sequel which is bringing Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and so many more comic heroes together, was already expected to put up some big numbers at box office keeping in mind the success of original film.
The original film “The Avengers” which was released back in 2012, turned out to be one of the most commercially successful movies of all time. The film currently ranks third in highest grossing films of all-time with just trailing Avatar and Titanic. “The Avengers” earned $207 million at the opening weekend of its release and the sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron is likely to break this record.
