The Baywatch star will receive $1 million in the divorce settlement.
Actress Pamela Anderson and poker player Rick Salomon have officially ended their marriage.
Both the stars, who finalized their divorce earlier this week, released a joint statement on Wednesday, confirming that their relationship does not exist anymore.
“Public divorces can be harsh and cruel – we apologize to our family and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused – we have to come an amicable agreement and are moving on. There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in hate and distaste. We wish each other and our families well.”People reports.
The Baywatch star filed a divorce against Rick Salomon back in February. After that, the situation was looking out of control and their relationship was just getting worse. Pamela granted restraining order in March, claiming Rick’s behavior is so erratic that It can cause a harm to her safety. She also provided a number of harassing e-mails and messages that had been sent to her from her husband. In April, she secured an extension to her initial restraining order against Rick.
The recent was the second marriage of the couple. They first married in 2007 which was annulled only after two months. They wed again in January 2014 but Pamela filed for divorce just six months later. In August, the actress filed a petition to dismiss her initial filing for divorce.
The 47-year old Pamela was previously married to Tommy Lee Jones with whom she has two sons Brandon, 18 and Dylan, 17. The marriage ended in 1998. In 2006, she tied the knots with Kid Rock but that marriage also lasted only few months. According to some sources, Pamela will receive about $1 million in the divorce settlement.
