Julianna Margulies Receives a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Her career includes three Emmys and eight Screen Actor Guild Awards alongside 10 Emmy nominations for the best actress



“The Good Wife” actress Julianna Margulies has been honored with a star on the Walk of Fame on Friday. Now she has become 2,550th personality from the entertainment industry to be immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, embedded in the sidewalk along Hollywood Boulevard.

The 48-year old Julianna, who has made several appearances in films and television shows, is best known for her work in CBS drama The Good Wife and NBC medical drama series ER for which she has won an Emmy Award as well. She has won eight Screen Actor Guild Awards overall alongside three prestigious Emmy Awards and 10 Emmy nominations in the category for the best actress in television drama series.

In the ceremony on Friday, Julianna was joined by her husband Keith Liebethal and seven year old son Keiren. CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves and co-star Michael J. Fox, who has a recurring role on The Good Wife, were also present in the ceremony, according to Daily Mail.

Julianna Marulies thanked Moonves for his support and for her role in The Good Wife and also expressed her feelings about when her star was unveiled at 6621 Hollywood Boulevard.

“I have to get used to the idea that I’m there. I wanna come back and look at all other names. It’s a moment when you feel, ‘Wow, I’m hopefully affecting some people out there.” Julianna said.

The ceremony came few weeks after when she was featured in 2015 list of TIME as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World”. Julianna is not only famous for her on screen work but also acknowledged widely for her off screen efforts especially for supporting A.L.S. project. The project is about A.L.S, a progressive neurodegenerative disease, which her close friend and co-actress Jenifer Estess was diagnosed with. She has been associated with the project for the past two decades and has been raising funds in order to find a cure for the disease.
