The new remote comes with a touch pad for easier navigation
It has been a while since we have been hearing about the update for the Apple TV which is reportedly going to include an all new remote control. Appleās set-top streaming box is going to get an all new version this year and its remote control is going to feature a touch pad for easier navigation through the interface. Another major change on the remote includes two physical buttons which are going to be thicker than the ones featured on the existing model.
We are expecting to get some juicy information regarding the Apple TV on the WWDC event which is scheduled for June. Apple is not just planning to announce the new Apple TV but we should also be seeing a software development kit. This kit is going to let developers build their apps for the Apple TV. In addition to this, the updated set top box is also going to have the App Store similar to the one on other iOS devices.
Regardless of all other introductions, the remote control remains to be the prime attraction in the new updated version because it had now become obsolete. After many years it is finally going to get some changes and the touch pad is quite a major one. The Apple streaming device itself has remained in its original form for many years and in March the price of the device had been dropped to $69 from the $99 price tag.
