Miley Cyrus: I’m Finally O.K. With Being Alone

Miley Cyrus is a feminist and isn’t afraid of being single anymore!

Miley Cyrus has previously been involved in very high profile relationships the most prominent being with Nick Jonas, Liam Hemsworth and recently Patrick Schwarzenegger. Miley Cyrus recently told the Times she is perfectly fine being single and it doesn’t bother her to remain single anymore. Cyrus is perfectly fine and it has a lot to do with being a feminist, and people should talk more about the fact that it’s ok to be alone.

It doesn’t mean Cyrus wouldn’t like to have companionship but for her being comfortable with the single status is more important as it brings a new kind of independence which she thinks everyone should aspire for.

Miley then revealed there have been times in her life when she has had boyfriends and girlfriends and then there are times she wants to be completely alone. Miley shared how her mother would probably not have been happy to be single at 22 but Miley is content with her single status. Miley doesn’t believe being happy is dependent on being in a relationship and her future isn’t relying on a life partner. 

Miley also told Times how she’s been trying to empower gay youth through her Happy Hippie Foundation. Miley shared how one of her fans was being bullied for wearing a ‘Legalize gay’ shirt and she called the teenage fan to talk to her. 

Cyrus had previously revealed how she has not only had straight relationships but would not label herself a ‘Bisexual’ as she hates labels. According to Cyrus people love to put other people into categories and whatever she likes sexually isn’t going to define her as a person. Cyrus believes she should be judged based on who she is and not who she is dating.
