Ricky Gervais’s The Office Spin-off Movie is a Go

Comedian Ricky Gervais got Entertainment One and BBC Film on board for his TV Office movie. spin-off

Life on the Road will be about a documentary crew following the legendary David Brent (Ricky Gervais) character from the UK version of The Office TV show. The movie will be directed, written and of course Ricky Gervais stars in it. BBC Film and Entertainment One have picked up the production of the The Office movie.

Accoring to Variety, Ricky Gervais said: “I’m so excited that the world will see what David Brent is up to now and where his future lies. This film delves much more into his private life than The Office ever did and we really get to peel back the layers of this extraordinary, ordinary man.”

BBC Film is very excited to make the Life on the Road movie expressed by sharing the David Brent Dance clip.

The Office in the UK had only two seasons and ran in 2001 and 2002. The US version with Steve Carell ran for 9 seasons.
