Blues legend B.B. King has died.
Blues legend BB King has died in Las Vegas. As reported earlier this month, BB King has been in n hospice care at his residence in Las Vegas. BB King died at the age of 89. Riley B. King, better known as B.B. King started recording in the 1940s.
He he has released over 50 albums. He was born September 16, 1925, on a plantation in Itta Bena, Mississippi, near Indianola. BB King had his first big break in 1948 when he performed on Sonny Boy Williamson’s radio program on KWEM out of West Memphis.
BB King created a unique sound carried by his incredible guitar play. He has been decorated with countless awards over the years. His collaboration with U2 brought renewed fame end of the 80s. When Love Comes To Town is still a classic. BB King managed to bring the Blues to other music styles.
One of hist most well known hits was The Thrill is Gone. See him perform this song during a live season in Montreux in 1993 below.
