Potus stands for President of the United States of America. The choice of using Potus as the Twitter account name is the reason for a hilarious Twitter exchange between Bill Clinton and Obama.

Bill Clinton (3.46 million followers) welcomed Obama to Twitter and asked “Does that username stay with the office? #askingforafriend.” Obviously Bill Clinton refers to his wife Hillary who is running for President of the United States in 2016.

Know anyone interested in @FLOTUS?” Presidents can be really funny. @FLOTUS is the Twitter handle of The First Lady Michelle Obama. FLOTOS stands for First of the United States of America.
