Microsoft Holds A Global Tournament on Solitaire's 25th Birthday

It’s been 25 years since the game was launched by Microsoft and now the company is holding a global tournament for the players to celebrate Solitaire’s 25th birthday.

So Microsoft is making people remember those good old days when you had nothing to do and you would play some rounds of Solitaire. It’s been 25 years since the game was launched and now Microsoft is holding a tournament to celebrate the game’s 25 years.

The public will get to play against the company’s best employees. The news of the tournament came after Microsoft decided to add the Solitaire game to the Windows 10 OS. Windows 10 is the latest Microsoft OS and it is the most anticipated software of this year.

The OS will most probably be launched in the summer. Microsoft announced that firstly there would be an internal competition amongst Microsoft employees which kicks off today so that they could determine leaders in their company.

Then after that on 5th June, the Microsoft winners will play against the public players in the 25th Anniversary Tournament which would be hosted within the game. There are some other game modes such as, Klondike, FreeCell and Spider.

The company has yet to announce other details regarding the Solitaire tournament. They also haven’t announced any gifts if you win the tournament. For now you can start practicing for the tournament because there will be a lot of competition because all of us have played the game and there were many people that were a lot quicker than us.

So you can search for the game on any search engine and you can download it. If you have the Windows Store and are using Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, then you can use the store to download the game. And if you have a Windows Phone you can download it on your smart phone and start practicing the game for the tournament.

Microsoft announced in an official Windows Blog that Solitaire is currently the top free Windows Store game so the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users will not have any problems in finding the game.
