Jeff Foxworthy reveals Origin of his Legendary Redneck Jokes

The Tonight Show

Famous comedian Jeff Foxworthy tells Jimmy Fallon how he came up with his signature redneck jokes back in the 80s.

Jeff Foxworthy is on comedy stages since 25 years. He is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history and the reason for his success are in a large part attributed to his legendary Redneck jokes.

The one-liners that kept America laughing for decades include “You might be a redneck if the stock market crashes and it doesn’t affect you one bit.” or “You might be a redneck if you spend 40 hours a week at Walmart, but don’t work there.” There are gazillions of these one-liners in Foxworthy mind.

Last night he revealed to Jimmy Fallon in the Tonight Show how he came up with the Redneck jokes. The first redneck jokes he wrote down on a piece of paper hang framed in Foxworthy’s house. His wife put them there because they paid for the house.

Jeff Foxworthy’s next tour date is in Atlantic City on August 23.
